Charlotte home prices keep moving up, up, up.
– According to the latest Standard & Poor’s Case-Shiller Home Price Index, Charlotte home prices were up 3.3 percent in September compared to a year ago.
– Charlotte and Dallas were the only cities to see such significant growth in home prices. DC saw the smallest annual growth.
– Just for kicks, here’s the most expensive house in Charlotte, as listed on Zillow: $3.95 million in SouthPark’s Morrocroft Estates. We’re digging the copper roof and the dog (is it real?) in the study.
I love living in Charlotte

Charlotte is the worst kept secret these days, and everyone is moving here. But, things aren’t quite as they were in their heyday. House prices still haven’t returned to pre-recession levels, still down 5 percent. And if you did decide to sell your house, the market is so hot it’s hard to find a new one, with a shortage of listings these days.
