Since 2012, there have been three other reports of gun violence at the music/bar hotspot. News of this most recent shooting didn’t appear to slow up traffic on Saturday, which was lively with a volleyball tournament.
PANTHERS WON BUT …: Star linebacker Luke Kuechly suffered a concussion late in the first half of the 20-9 win. And Cam wore this at the post-game press conference:

A LOT OF OVERTIME: The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reports that it spent $93,400 on overtime during and after the trial of Officer Randall Kerrick, a white man, charged with killing an unarmed black man. The case ended in a mistrial. CMPD ordered extra officers for fear of civil unrest, which never really materialized.
