No joke: A speakeasy, butcher and BBQ joint among CLT’s newest offerings
The Story
Old school is the word for three new businesses set to open in the next few months.
What’s coming:
– Ritz-Carlton is going old school with a speakeasy-type club on 15th floor.
– Urban Sip is going away.
– The Punch Room will “evoke the legendary, sometimes notorious beverage dens of yesteryear,” according to press release.
– Music: blues, soul and doo wop.
– On-site cocktail carbonator.
– Feb. 14 opening.
– Michael LeVecchia is taking over 8,000-square-foot space at East Morehead and South McDowell (apologies that the rendering above is annoyingly small).
– Retail store with meat, fish, cheese and charcuterie.
– Will also feature a deli and a catering division.
– To open in May.
– Mega popular BBQ joint in Plaza Midwood expanding to Ballantyne.
– Taking old Sticky Fingers spot on Johnston Road. 5,400 square feet.
– Texas style, smoke-cooked cue, plus all the fixins (mac and cheese, banana pudding, etc).
– Bar and patio to get played up.
