Bill Cosby still on for Charlotte shows - for now

The Story:

The 77-year-old comedian of the beloved “Cosby Show” series, now accused by multiple women of sexual assault and rape, is still slated to give two concerts at the Belk Theater Feb. 22.

The Facts:

– Erik Spanberg of The Charlotte Business Journal says the president of the Blumenthal reported to him that “to the best of our knowledge, the promoter plans to continue as announced.”

– However, in light of the allegations — which include several women claiming Cosby drugged and raped them — the Blumenthal is giving refunds to those who ask.

C5’s Take:

With eight of his 36 concerts around the country already cancelled (including one in Florence, SC), we’re guessing it’s a matter of time before the Charlotte one is too. While Cosby hasn’t been convicted, it would be hard to laugh with him.
