Biscuit chain Holler & Dash, known for its fast casual biscuits and southern food, has closed and will reopen as Maple Street Biscuit Company in the next few weeks.

Five other Holler & Dash locations in Alabama, Florida, Tennessee and Georgia are closing and reopening as Maple Street locations.

Maple Street is a modern comfort food chain that first opened in Jacksonville, Florida. Menu offerings include a variety of stick-to-your-ribs biscuit sandwiches, as well as waffles, grits and oatmeal bowls, southern-style sides and fresh-squeezed orange juice.

Maple Street was recently purchased by Cracker Barrel and now functions as an independent subsidiary under the national country food chain.

The six Holler & Dash locations will add to Maple Street’s current 33 locations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.

“We’re super excited to open in new communities and serve some new guests that we currently don’t serve,” Maple Street marketing manager Emily Free said. “The six Holler & Dash locations will be the first in those areas.”

The current Holler & Dash location near South End in Charlotte will undergo a complete interior remodeling as part of the transition, Free said. The incoming Maple Street will operate out of the same space.

“There will be new menus, new interiors,” Free said. “Basically the only thing that is going to stay the same are most of the teams and the physical addresses.”

Free said that the company tried to keep as many Holler & Dash employees in the stores as possible. At the same time, she said the company is hiring for all six locations.

“Our ‘Holler-fam’ is special to us, and we are excited for what the future holds,” Holler & Dash COO Mike Chissler said in an online press release. “To those who have loved Holler & Dash, we know you’ll love Maple Street Biscuit Company just as much — maybe even more.”

The incoming Maple Street in Charlotte will open sometime in the next few weeks.
