Announcing Fine & Fettle, a cozy coffeehouse and intimate lounge opening in SouthPark
A new restaurant, Fine & Fettle, located inside Canopy by Hilton SouthPark, opens at 5 p.m. on Monday, June 15.
Fine & Fettle brings farm-to-table service and local, sustainably sourced ingredients to create a Southern dining experience. On its website, the restaurant is described as a “cozy coffeehouse in the morning, candlelit gastrolounge at night.”
The new restaurant’s name comes from the phrase “in fine fettle,” meaning in good health. Fine & Fettle’s menu aims to live up to its name.
The breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner menu will change with the season or as Executive Chef Daniel Wheeler crafts new dishes. Dishes include shareables such as charcuterie and burrata and main plates such as crab primavera and roasted guinea hen.
Previously the executive chef of Charlotte cocktail lounge Dot Dot Dot, Wheeler will focus on his passions of locality and sustainability.
“Fine & Fettle is more than a restaurant for me,” Wheeler said in a statement. “It’s a means for my team to help strengthen our community. Working with local farmers and artisans daily, we hope to build a strong foundation of relationships that will allow us to participate in community driven activities and provide opportunities for us to learn and grow together.”
David Schmidt will be Fine & Fettle’s lead mixologist. Fine & Fettle’s cocktail program is wellness-driven, featuring cocktails such as “Game, Set, Matcha,” made with botanist gin, matcha orgeat, lime, mint and egg white.
All employees at Fine & Fettle will wear masks and adhere to the state’s mandates of social distancing under Phase 2 of North Carolina’s reopening plan.
Reservations for Fine & Fettle are available now at Resy.
