New South End restaurant PARA will bring small plates, creative cocktails
A new small plates restaurant named PARA will open in South End in January, bringing creative cocktails and globally influenced menu items from executive chef Alex Verica.
Verica’s menu includes family-style dishes that highlight local farms via Freshlist and Small City Farmer. The cocktails program was developed by Yashira “Yoshi” Mejia.
THE MENU INCLUDES:
- Deviled Eggs with miso, shrimp, trout roe, and scallion;
- Lobster Toast with milk bread, chive aioli, caviar, and radish;
- “Tuna” Crudo, a vegetarian dish with jalapeño, lime, avocado, citrus, hot pepper, and radish.
A late night menu and a dessert menu will also be available.
COCKTAILS INCLUDE:
- Berry Nice with Grey Goose Strawberry & Lemongrass Essence, Lemon, Lemongrass, Topo Chico, and Strawberry St. Germain Foam;
- Mez Me With That with Illegal Mezcal, Orange, Lime, Cilantro Oil, and Togarashi.
THE RESTAURANT: There will be a full bar, dining room and lounge seating on the patio.
General manager Stephen Johnson also has an Intro Sommelier certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers Americas and has helped in assembling the wine list.
HOURS: PARA will be open Tuesdays through Thursdays from 5 to 11 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
PARA is the first new venture from the newly formed Parliament Hospitality Group. Its team includes industry veterans Chet Desai, Jigs Desai, Dave Feimster and Ricky Patel.
