Little Mama’s Italian Kitchen is expanding to South Charlotte next year, opening its second restaurant in the Rea Farms development.

Just like the original SouthPark restaurant, expect Little Mama’s Rea Farms to offer up a 1970s Italian-American dining vibe.

“Little Mama’s is a heartfelt project that has been an incredible success so far in SouthPark, even by pre-pandemic standards,” owner Frank Scibelli said in a statement. “I look forward to sharing the simple yet delicious flavors of my childhood — food inspired by our upbringings, made by our (FS Food Group) family — for the South Charlotte community.”

Little Mama’s Rea Farms will feature a mozzarella bar, large outdoor patio and indoor seating for about 200 guests.

The pasta and pizza-forward restaurant will serve brunch, lunch and dinner.

Little Mama’s is considered a “prequel” to FS Food Group’s Mama Ricottas, which turns 30 years old next week.

FS Food Group is also behind Calle Sol, Paco’s Tacos, Midwood Smokehouse, Yafo and Perfect Plate Catering.
