In Charlotte’s Camp North End news of the day — two new retailers are moving into the adaptive reuse space:

  • Room Service, a boutique cocktail and small bites lounge; and

  • Stay Inn, an upscale specialty market.

Rachel Hopkins, owner of Room Service, and Jules Zanoni, owner of Stay Inn, are the team behind the two new interconnected spots, which will open in the Keswick District in spring 2023.

Room Service

You may recognize Hopkins as the co-owner of Black Moth Bars, also at Camp North End. What to expect at Room Service:

  • Specialty cocktail drinks
  • Beer and wine
  • Sandwiches during the day
  • A rotating menu of shared plates in the evening.

“We’ve been dreaming about collaborating since we first met and are so excited to finally bring our vision to life and to share them with the Charlotte community,” Hopkins said in a statement. “We want those who visit Room Service and Stay Inn to feel catered to and inspired by every small detail of the experience we’ve designed with intentionality.”

Stay Inn

Love your experience at Room Service and want to bring it home with you? You’re in luck. At Stay Inn, you can find available for purchase many of the items found on the menu or in the lounge at Room Service. These items are all locally sourced and from independent makers. Items for sale include:

  • glassware
  • candles
  • linens
  • specialty olive oil
  • cocktail supplies
  • tinned fish
  • flowers and more.

The two spaces will be located across from each other and feature a shared patio space, connected by string lights.

“Camp North End has become home for us and our businesses,” Zanoni said. “We spend all of our time here and we love it — both for the destination it is today, and for the potential we see in its future. It just keeps getting better, and when we saw the two unique suites in Keswick, we knew they were perfect for our vision.”

Camp North End continues to impress

Yes, Camp North End is growing so fast we could easily dedicate an entire CharlotteFive section to it. Some of us have been watching it since the beginning, so of course we feel like proud parents over here. Just to recap some other recent growth news:
