Spaghett, an Italian restaurant from chef Sam Hart, will move into the Morrison House building that until recently housed the Poplar tapas restaurant and bar in Fourth Ward uptown Charlotte.

Spaghett, a craft pasta and cocktail restaurant, will open in the former Poplar space in uptown Charlotte’s 4th Ward in 2024.

“Well the cat’s out of the bag…. Thrilled to be a part of the incredibly rich history of the Morrison House and Fourth Ward, while writing new history alongside our @irreverentlyrefined team. @restaurantspaghett will be a wild wild time,” chef Sam Hart posted via Instagram.

Axios Charlotte first reported the news.

The James Beard Award finalist — who is also working on opening a Japanese robatayaki food stall called Maneki in The Alley — owns tasting restaurant Counter-, as well. Its adjoined wine concept Biblio recently closed, making way for Counter- to expand in new ways.
