Rolled AF, a modern Mexican restaurant that got its start at Monarch Market in uptown Charlotte, is expanding to open a second location in Rock Hill.

The restaurant, co-owned by food truck entrepreneurs Felicia Reese and Ashley Outlaw, will be opening in The Power House Food Hall sometime in early May.

“We always wanted to open this concept in other locations,” Outlaw told CharlotteFive. “We weren’t looking to expand quite yet, but this opportunity came up and we said we’ve got to take it.”

Rolled AF offers taquitos, burritos and quesadillas. You customize it with the protein — ground beef, chicken, shrimp or birria — then add one of its sides and house-made sauces.

“We have the best chips — we make our chips fresh,” Reese said.

Rolled AF co-owners Felicia Reese and Ashley Outlaw also own successful food trucks. Reese owns 22 Street Kitchen, and Outlaw owns Nacho Average Truck.

When you go, know that Its most popular options are the birria burrito, the chicken crunch wrap and the shrimp quesadilla.

The current menu will be available at The Power House when it opens. But after a few months, you’ll also be able to get pulled pork as an option.

“We’re just excited to expand into Rock Hill,” Reese told CharlotteFive. “It’s a new territory for us, and we’re looking to get involved in the community and let everyone know that we’re there.”

The Power House, which opened last June, is already getting freshened up with new offerings and a free concert series there will stretch from May through November. Parking was recently made free, too.

Other food-and-drink vendors now open or coming soon in The Power House include:

  • FRESHPRESS, which sells specialty sandwiches, chopped salads, pastries and desserts.
  • BABS Scratch Kitchen, a not-yet-open spot that will offer Southern dishes such as chicken & waffles, shrimp & grits and seasonal cobbler.
  • The Local Scoop, which puts out locally made ice cream.

  • Chilango Tacos Y Mas, which makes tacos, quesadillas and burritos. (This stall will be leaving, and Rolled AF will take its place.)
