A new Asian restaurant with a grab-and-go menu is now open in East Charlotte
A team of women entrepreneurs is bringing a new Asian restaurant to Central Avenue, long known for bringing the flavors of international cuisine to East Charlotte.
Sen Mee Noodle House opened mid-August in Eastway Crossing at the corner of Central Avenue and Eastway Drive in the space that formerly held Sosu.
The new Southeast Asian restaurant offers a convenient grab-and-go menu “that brings flavor and freshness to your fingertips,” along with comforting dine-in options like Vietnamese pho.
“Get ready for an atmosphere that’s as spicy and satisfying as our noodles,” the restaurant team posted via Facebook.
Co-owners Sophia Dong, Jenny Zajac, Pailin Wilet and Nana Chandara are each bringing more than 15 years of restaurant experience to the table.
“We are excited to be a part of East Charlotte and very thankful to be welcomed to the community with open arms. We truly feel blessed to be in this area,” Zajac told Charlotte Five.
You can start your meal with small bites such as spring rolls, potstickers or fried tofu squares, or a small bowl of Tom Yum soup — then move onto the entrees.
Among the specials the restaurant has highlighted includes its Thai Red Curry with Shrimp, served over rice or noodles with bamboo, bell peppers, broccoli and basil. Pad thai, fried rice and kaprow are also on the menu, plus other Thai noodle dishes.
To top things off with dessert, options include mango sticky rice and chocolate lava cake.
