Local brewery is bringing new location to Charlotte’s South End. What to expect.
Another brewery is making its way to Charlotte’s lower South End this summer.
Seaboard Brewing will be opening its second location, Seaboard Brewing LoSo, on Friday, Aug. 2.
The local spot — with a taproom and wine room — made its mark as Matthew’s first brewery over five years ago. Now, the team is ready to bring its classic brews and bites closer to the city, along with a few new additions.
“Seaboard quickly gained recognition for its unique blend of casual sophistication in beer and wine, attracting visitors from near and far. With this success, we saw an opportunity to elevate the experience by introducing liquor and crafting exceptional cocktails,” Seaboard owner Gary Murray told CharlotteFive.
Just like the flagship location, Seaboard Brewing LoSo will have a curated wine selection, beer brewed in Matthews on tap, specialty pizzas and charcuterie boards — along with new salads, a full liquor menu and handcrafted cocktails exclusively at the new spot. Plus, there will be daily drink specials and a wine club with monthly events.
“While we may not be introducing a completely new concept to Charlotte, our goal with Seaboard South End is to create a welcoming environment that reflects the area’s convenience and casual charm,” Murray explained.
“We aimed to blend the best aspects of a brewery, bar, and social hub to craft a vibrant, inviting atmosphere.”
