‘This isn’t just a goodbye — it’s an evolution’: An NC restaurant is closing, but there’s good news

Fans of The Bottle Tree in Charlotte have less than two weeks to make one last visit to the Belmont restaurant. After its final service Feb. 16, it will close. However, the team also has good news to share.

“We’ve got some BIG news! After five amazing years of sharing meals, laughs, and memories with you at The Bottle Tree, we’re embarking on an exciting new adventure ... and we couldn’t be more excited!” the restaurant team posted via Instagram.

“We can’t thank you enough for your support over the years. Every meal, every toast, and every unforgettable night has meant the world to us. This isn’t just a goodbye — it’s an evolution and see you soon,” the post continued.

Its current dinner menu features small and large plates, with upscale dishes such as Smoked Salmon Panzanella, Miso Roasted Cauliflower and Crawfish Pappardelle.

On the weekend, brunch customers at The Bottle Tree dine on Seasonal French Toast, Duck Fat Apple Pie and Short Rib Biscuits & Gravy.

A new Belmont restaurant

The team plans to open a new space in March in Belmont: Kaya Gastrolounge. Details about its offerings have not yet been released.

Just last year, The Bottle Tree was named best patio in the Charlotte area by CharlotteFive readers.

The property — which was once a midcentury ranch home where the Belmont mayor lived — offers a wine cellar and an extensive patio space known as The Garden. String lights drape around the outdoor dining area with cobblestone flooring, and a graveled area nearby offers extra seating and a fire pit.
