Much to the joy of Charlotte transplants from Western New York and elsewhere in the Northeast, there’s finally an opening date for Wegmans here — fall 2026.

By this time next year, we’ll be ready to shop at the new 110,000-square-foot Wegman’s store in Ballantyne at 11550 N. Community House Road. The family-owned grocery chain is beloved for its market cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, along with its traditional supermarket options.
