Your drinks + friends social calendar for the next 7 days
Rain is on the way for the next week, but that doesn’t have to put a damper on your plans to go out! Need a few ideas on how to spend your time? Enjoy these upcoming events:
THURSDAY, MARCH 30

ONE MORE DAY, folks. And then it’s the freakin’ weekend! Take the edge off by visiting Free Range Brewing at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for a free yoga class. To say thanks, grab something from the bar or the food truck out back. They offer a great variety of beer, but if you’re feeling something else, there’s always kombucha, shrub, and cold brew coffee to snag. (And by snagging a shrub, I don’t mean destroy the property by stealing all the plants.) 2320 N. Davidson St.
FRIDAY, MARCH 31
What could be better than drinking your favorite wine or beer? How about some live music playing about your love affair with said wine (or beer)? The Wine Vault, Birdsong Brewing Co, Cabarrus Brewing Co, Summit Coffee, AND Legion Brewing are each offering live music on Friday, so you have no excuse to miss some great bands. And did I mention they’re all free? No cover? That means more cash for drinks.
There’s nothing foolish about being an avid dog lover, which is why I suggest checking out Lucky Dog Bark and Brew’s one-year anniversary PAWTY. I can’t. So cute. Not only will there be dogs everywhere, but they will be having some great drink specials along with live music! To accommodate the whole Final Four shindig, they are celebrating from 3pm-6pm so everyone can be home in time to cheer on our Tarheels! Want to bring your pooch? Just make sure they are fixed, up to date on their shots, and friendly. Details here. 2220 Thrift Road, Charlotte
If anyone asks what your plans are, just tell them, “I’m going to the Mother Shuckin’ Oyster Roast!” NoDa Brewing wins my heart with this event title. Stop by between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. to enjoy clam chowder or even all-you-can-eat oysters. Not only are you about to have an awesome time, but a portion of the proceeds go to a charity. Win/win all around! Details here. 2921 N. Tryon St., Charlotte
Head to Amelie’s in Uptown. There’s no special event, but with their rose-inspired menu for spring, there is nothing else that you should be doing on this day except eating all the French pastries and drinking all their rose wine. 380 S. College St., Charlotte
Because you’ve survived almost half of the work week already (basically), take tonight to visit VBGB for a fun evening of painting. This lasts from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and you could even win free drinks and food. Whaaaat. Be sure to RSVP first so you don’t miss out.
920 Hamilton St., Charlotte
Even though it isn’t Taco Tuesday anymore, that doesn’t mean you don’t deserve a margarita! Vida Cantina at the Epicentre is doing marg tastings for just $5, AND you get all your other margs at half off after that. Samples will include the Partita, Skinny Margarita, and their Blood Orange Margarita. Details here. 210 E. Trade St. Suite 104A
