Sycamore Brewing celebrates one year with a seriously big party

Chances are, you’ve been to South End’s Sycamore Brewing. The light-rail-side brewery with its inviting rustic taproom and large, string-light-filled beer garden has become a fast favorite on the Charlotte social scene.

Go on any Friday or Saturday night and you’ll find crowds indulging in the small-batch beers and wines flowing from its 28 rotating taps. It’s become so popular in fact, that just a few weeks before its one-year anniversary, the brewery’s co-owners, Sarah and Justin Brigham, announced plans for an expansion.

For now though, the pair is focused on hosting a seriously big party.

This Saturday they’re celebrating one year with what they’re calling the Anniversary Festival. Starting at noon and going until 10 p.m., the day includes two outdoor stages with live music all day, outdoor pouring stations, and on-location food trucks including Roots Farm Food, Hot Box, Sauceman’s BBQ and Carlos’s Dogs.

Plus, they’re releasing two brand new beers for the occasion. Want to know what the new brews are? Justin says you’ll just have to come to the party.
