NoDa Brewing taps into the Charleston market with a South Carolina expansion
NoDa Brewing Company is expanding distribution to Charleston, S.C., starting the week of Valentine’s Day.
The Charlotte-based brewing company is tag-teaming with Southern Eagle Distributing of Southern Crown Partners as part of its expansion.
“We’ve taken the time to expand,” said Lindsay Sprick, NoDa Brewing Company’s South Carolina Distribution Manager. “Because we’ve taken time, we’ve had people from all over requesting us to move.”
After the team assessed expansion markets, it landed on Charleston, Sprick said.
NoDa brews in Charleston will include Hop Drop ‘n Roll IPA, Radio Haze Hazy/Juicy IPA, CAVU Blonde Ale, Great American Beer Festival Silver medal winner Coco Loco Porter, Jam Session Pale Ale and more. All brands will be available on tap, and several brands will be available in 16 oz. canned four-packs.
“Our distributing partner Southern Eagle has been wonderful,” said Sprick, who prefers to go by “Her Hopness.” “They’ve been fantastic hosts so far. I know their team is ready to launch and get this started. Overall everyone’s just really excited. Everyone is just like, ‘Come on, bring it on down.’”
“Those folks who have followed the expansion of NoDa Brewing know that we are slow and deliberate when it comes to expanding our distribution territory,” Todd Ford, co-owner of NoDa Brewing, said in a press release. “Making fresh, creative, gold medal-winning beers for our southern neighbors and then delivering them with passion and care: That is what is all about. To me, it is well worth the wait.”
“Charlotte is our Queen City,” Sprick said. “It’s our heart. It’s our number one. We aren’t looking to be a massive regional brewery. We are going to be slow about our expansion. I want to make sure we’re doing this the right way.
“We want people to have fresh beer in their mouth. We want them to have an authentic experience and have the best NoDa experience we can offer.”
Where can I get NoDa Brewing beer?

NoDa’s inaugural event in Charleston will be held Feb. 10, at Edmund’s Oast. A second event will be held on Feb. 11 at House of Brews West Ashley. Other events will be held as well, Sprick said.
