Calle Sol Latin Café & Cevicheria, a Charlotte restaurant focused on Cuban and Peruvian food, along with other Latin American flavors, has released new winter menu items.

Executive chef Paul Cruz centers the menu based on inspired by the food cultures of Miami, Tampa and Orlando. He’s added new appetizers, sandwiches, soup and more.

There’s also a fresh lineup of cocktails, as well. New choices include:

• Amarillo ‘Rita — Orange juice margarita with silver tequila and aji amarillo peppers

• Brainkiller — Brugal Añejo rum, crème de coconut, lime and pineapple

• Fall Fashioned — Bourbon, maple, apple cider and spices.

There’s a new group menu, too. The restaurant has put together a separate menu meant for family nights at home, office events and gatherings for the holidays. Items include the restaurant’s familiar Chaufa, a Peruvian fried rice, and Cuban Fried Rice, along with family packs of meats and sides, and sandwich platters.
