Pizzeria news: Benny Ferrovia’s is now open in South End

Just in time for heart-shaped pizza pies, you can now get Benny’s pizza in South End.

Benny’s, known for its 28-inch Virginia-style pizzas with slices bigger than your head, opened its next Charlotte location, Benny Ferrovia’s, on Feb. 10.

“SURPRISE!!!! We are officially opening today at 3pm,” the team posted on Instagram on Thursday. “Thanks for your patience on this wild ride of construction in COVID. We are so excited to be in South End just in time for Super Bowl and heart shaped pies!

We already have Benny Pennello’s in NoDa. The next Benny’s is near Common Market and Bang Bang Burgers, Pins Mechanical, Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit and Small Bar South End. Benny’s was named one of the best places to get a slice of pizza in 2020 by CharlotteFive.

February specials include The Belusci, with Ground Beef, Bacon, Beer Cheese & Crispy Onions, and Hot Lips, with Cherry Peppers, Banana Peppers & Pineapple.
