Hex Coffee is on the move — but is staying at Camp North End. The specialty roaster will more than double its space at its new adaptive-reuse spot in late 2022.

The new coffee shop will include:

  • a coffee bar
  • an open cafe area with seating for 40
  • a full-service kitchen
  • outdoor seating
  • space for events

New offerings: A natural wine program is also on the way, along with food options for breakfast and lunch. Take-home brews and instant coffee will be available.

The design: Bryan Southwick of brandshopdesign has created a contemporary yet comfortable space. “We’ve always evolved to fit the space we’ve operated in, and this is the first time we feel like we’re truly creating the space and atmosphere we’ve always wanted to,” Hex co-founder Chandler Wrenn said.

What else is happening: The new location is part of Phase II of the development, which includes the adaptive reuse of 201 Camp Road and 701 Keswick Ave. Completion on the office, retail and parking garage portions are slated for June. Construction on a multifamily component is expected to be complete in 2024.

ATCO Properties & Management is the developer of Camp North End, and building ownership in the project was represented by Ascent Real Estate Partners.
