Mother’s Day is next Sunday, May 8, meaning it’s time to decide how to show your mom the appreciation she deserves.

Some places in Charlotte are offering deals on brunch, dinner, desserts and drinks to celebrate the holiday and ensure all the moms in your life feel loved.

If you’re looking for the perfect place to take your mom for Mother’s Day, start with these local hot spots for dine-in or takeout.

Billy Sunday

Location: 1115 N. Brevard St., Unit 1, Charlotte, NC 28206

Neighborhood: NoDa

What to try: Enjoy specials on wine, draft beer, and cocktails while you sample some bar bites, like pimento cheese and crackers, spinach artichoke dip and deviled eggs.

What to know: The restaurant is open from noon-9 p.m. Make reservations.

What to try: Begin with a slice of avocado toast, then try the Bulla Benedict (poached eggs, hollandaise, crispy chorizo and asparagus) and finish your meal off with some blueberry and ricotta pancakes.

Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen

Location: 620 University Center Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28262

What to try: Treat your mom to cocktails like the Strawberry Sweet-tart, with vodka, raspberry, pineapple juice, strawberry puree and topped with sliced strawberries for $7.49.

What to know: The restaurant is also offering a selection of take-home family bundles starting at $26.99, with options like hand-breaded chicken tenders and salmon, served with two sides. Place an order.

Dilworth Tasting Room SouthPark

What to try: Mother’s Day brunch specials, made by Chef Jonathan Shuler, include chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits and cinnamon rolls with vanilla ice cream.

What to know: Brunch selections like french toast, crab cake benedict and prime ranch steak and eggs, and grilled salmon, or dinner dishes like the veal picatta and dry-aged pork chop.

What to know: The three-course brunch is $34, and the three-course dinner is $55.

PARA

What to try: The Mother’s Day menu features deviled eggs with loaded jalapeno, house hot sauce and one egg any style, and pork belly with grits, greens, poached egg and maple bourbon glaze.
