A long-awaited spot for beer, brunch and bone broth opens soon in South End

Salted Melon Market and Eatery, a new spot from the team behind Reid’s Fine Foods, will open in South End on Friday, July 15.

The market and eatery offers healthy and convenient breakfast, lunch and dinner options, along with drinks and provisions for guests who live, work and play in South End.

“We look forward to bringing our chef-curated menu and curated selection of innovative and healthy packaged foods to this ideal location in South End,” said Salted Melon’s chief operating officer, Thomas Coker.

The colorful dining area and the light-filled bar can seat 130 guests, and the patio can seat another 40 guests. The restaurant will offer an all-day menu starting at 7 a.m. on weekdays that will feature breakfast, salads, bowls, coffee and espresso. A bonus: The market will also Charlotte’s first bone broth bar, including locally made Brave Broth.

The full-service alcohol menu starts at 4 p.m. on weekdays and weekends for customers to nosh on small and large plates while drinking cocktails, beer and wine.
