One food that almost everyone can agree on is a classic comfort food: pizza. And there’s more of it on the way in Charlotte.

On Sept. 12, Wheelz Pizza is coming to the Kings Shopping Center in Cherry. A new location of the popular Wilmington pizzeria offering carryout and delivery service will be replacing the old Pizza Hut that was there before.

The restaurant serves Neapolitan-Brooklyn style gourmet pizza using fresh and natural ingredients and a sourdough crust. Here’s what you can expect when visiting the restaurant:

  • Margherita pizza — made with an organic tomato sauce base topped with three cheeses, organic tomatoes and fresh picked basil.

  • Supreme pizza — a build-your-own pizza that comes with four toppings of your choice on top of three cheeses and an organic tomato sauce base.

  • White pizza — made with garlic, parmesan cheese, ricotta cheese, organic Sicilian oregano, fresh basil, shredded mozzarella cheese and fresh mozzarella cheese over extra virgin olive oil.

Expect the cost to run around $10-$13 for 10-inch pizzas and $11-$16 for 14-inch pizzas.

All of Wheelz Pizza’s gourmet pizzas are made with fresh, natural ingredients.
