Many Charlotte businesses are taking a direct approach to request tips.

Restaurants, coffee shops, and salons are now implementing digital devices that automatically prompt customers to leave a gratuity. iPads and other similar-style tablets are being used in place of traditional tip jars or paper receipts.

Have suggestions to tip this way now become stressful? How much do you tip for different services? Do you always tip, regardless of the quality of service?
