‘The ultimate dessert destination’: The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar is coming to Concord
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’re in for a treat. A new dessert spot is now open in the Charlotte area.
Known for its over-the-top unique milkshakes, The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar settled into a new location in Concord, the second one in North Carolina.
Operated by franchisees Monika and Aaron Leach, it’ll be less than a mile away from Concord Mills Mall.
“We love Charlotte. We are super excited to get into that market,” Danielle Malcomb, chief operations officer for The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar, told CharlotteFive. “The community has shown a lot of interest on all social media platforms … everyone was so interested in when we were coming to that specific place.”
The Myrtle Beach-based chain opened in June 2020 and has since expanded to several other states, including Virginia, Tennessee and Florida.
“I look at this like edible artwork,” Aaron Leach told CharlotteFive. “It’s visually appealing and delicious all at the same time, and there is nothing like this around here.”
Using hundreds of ingredients, including locally grown produce and toppings from local bakeries and businesses, the “dessert destination” offers a wide variety of “crazy bomb” ice cream sandwiches, “crazy mason” milkshakes and more served in mason jars that you can take home.
But the new location in Concord isn’t like your typical ice cream shop. This newest Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar location offers full-service dining, one of the first of all locations where guests will be seated and have table-service at the restaurant.
“I think it’s a really nice touch to a traditional ice cream shop and dessert bar because it’s not just like walk up, counter, fast casual … it is really the full dining experience,” Malcomb said. “The idea is amazing, but the feel you get when you come here is what will bring you back for occasion after occasion,” Danielle said.
The Leaches told CharlotteFive they even have hopes of opening more locations in the area over the next few years.
“I want to bring this to the market and to the Carolinas,” Aaron Leach said. “We do want to open a couple others so that everybody has easy access in our area to the edible artwork that is Crazy Mason’s.”
