Charlotte Black Restaurant Week: Participating restaurants, events and more.
Charlotte Black Restaurant Week is back for a two-week celebration of local Black-owned eateries.
The 7th annual event will run through Oct. 29, with restaurant specials, food truck events and more.
Charlotte Black Restaurant Week, hosted by BBOC, launched in 2017 as a way to support local Black-owned restaurants during a time when so many were closing their doors, organizers said. Since then, the annual event has helped give local restaurants a boost in business, bringing in foodies from across the city and state.
“The Charlotte Community has been unwavering in our support of Greek, Mexican, Latino, LGBTQ, and other beautiful cultural festivals and events, and CBRW hopes to receive similar support,” a statement from BBOC says.
