One of the biggest date nights of the year, Valentine’s Day, is coming up quickly, and it’s time to make plans.
Choose from a variety of prix fixe fine dining dinners featuring luxurious options such as duck, Wagyu beef, lobster and lamb to treat someone special. (And don’t forget dessert, of course.) Or make yourself a priority, pre-order a meal and treat yourself with tickets for a Galentine’s Day event or singles pop-up.
Listed below are some ways you can celebrate Valentine’s Day in the Charlotte area. The events are taking place on Feb. 14, unless otherwise noted.
Angeline’s

Angeline’s is offering a special tasting menu Feb 9-17 to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The menu features:
- Warm burrata salad with roasted squash, confit heirloom tomatoes, pistachio gremolata, ciabatta
- Jumbo lump crab cakes with creamy basil pistou, pickled tiny vegetables, lemon caviar
- White cioppino for two with day boat white fish, clams, mussels, shrimp, lobster, gnocchi, dino kale, Calabrian chili oil, ciabatta
- Amaretto panna cotta with cherry consomme, crushed pistachio, spiced cherry chutney, dark chocolate shavings, vanilla tuil.e

The Asbury is offering a three-course prix fix meal with a modern Southern theme, which you can pair with an overnight stay at The Dunhill Hotel iin a package that includes a bottle of sparkling wine, chocolate truffles, a dozen roses, a $75 food and beverage credit to be used at The Asbury or at The Dunhill Bar and more.
The prix fixe meal menu offers:

The Fifth Fork’s Valentines dinner menu is a three-course prix fixe with an amuse bouche, with optional drink pairings, which you can get Feb. 14-17. After dinner Feb. 14, you can also take part in the “That’s Amore!” event, with a champagne and oyster pairing and a live jazz trio from 6:30-9:30 p.m. The menu offers:
- Amuse of Topsail oyster, watermelon mignonette and caviar
- Choice of shrimp cocktail or burrata salad
- Choice of seared scallops with carrot puree, pomegranate gastrique and citrus vierge; Wagyu skirt steak with truffled mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus and red wine demi glace; or Joyce Farms chicken with Champagne morel sauce and Southern green beans

- Choice of fresh oyster tagine, duet of honey-glazed pork tenderloin and crispy pork belly, grilled Colorado lamb chops or blackened sea scallops

Haymaker is offering a prix-fixe date night offering for Valentine’s Day, along with a limited-time specialty cocktail, The Hibiddy Dibiddy, with light notes of lime, sweet and tangy notes of hibiscus and a splash of prosecco. The dinner menu includes:
- Choice of: Chicken liver mousse, bourbon gelee, macerated pear, “Lots of Chives” and fried Saltines; lobster bisque with champagne “caviar” and black truffle or radicchio, Cara Cara orange, shaved local root vegetables, ricotta and Derby dressing.

North Corner Haven Farm is hosting two nights of intimate Valentine’s Day celebrations on Wednesday, Feb. 14 and Friday, Feb. 16 from 6-9:30 p.m.
Sip a cocktail or glass of wine by the fire pits, then dine on a four-course meal with live music in the The Cedar Barn for dinner, curated by executive chef Joy Turner. A vegetarian option is available upon request, and a selection non-alcoholic beverages will be offered.

- Guests can pre-order a heart-shaped cake (chocolate strawberry or cherry vanilla) for $65 to be enjoyed during their dinner visit.
- The specials menu will feature a “Valentine’s Creme Brûlée for 2” with ruby chocolate creme brûlée, milk chocolate chantilly and fresh berries.
- Diners can also purchase a box of 6 royal icing-decorated heart-shaped sugar cookies to-go.
