Italian-themed coffee chain expands to the Carolinas with Lake Norman drive-thru store
An Italian-themed coffee chain founded by a Florida couple is expanding to the Carolinas with a Lake Norman drive-through store.
Ellianos Coffee has 85 locations in the Southeast either open or opening soon, according to its website.
Workers using a concrete mixer were building the Lake Norman store on Saturday, Feb. 8, in the Food Lion-anchored retail center at Brawley School and Stutts roads, on the Brawley School Road peninsula in Mooresville. No opening date has been announced.
Scott and Pam Stewart of Lake City, Florida, founded Ellianos Coffee Co. in 2002. The bulk of their stores are open or planned in Florida and Georgia, with other locations in Alabama and Tennessee.
Signature coffees include:
▪ Caffé Dolce: white mocha latte with caramel.
▪ Milan Mint Mocha: Dark latte.
▪ Tuscany Toffee: Toffee latte with real caramel sauce.
▪ Sicilian Smoothie: Blended with strawberries, pineapple and coconut.
▪ Venetian Vanilla Creme: Caffe breve with vanilla.
▪ Cookies & Cream Freezer: Blend of espresso, ice cream and Oreo cookies.
