A popular Charlotte restaurant is back in business after it was forced to close down due to a fire.

After a nearly year-long temporary closure, Let’s Meat KBBQ has reopened its doors and is “ready to welcome you with open arms and sizzling grills once again,” the team announced on Instagram.

The all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue spot, located in the heart of the South End neighborhood, suddenly shut down after a fire broke out early February 2024. No one was hurt, but the restaurant was hit with significant damage — at least $25,000 in property loss from the blast that took 30 firefighters 34 minutes to control, WSOC-TV reported.

‘Let’s Meat, soon?’

But the time has come for local foodies to be able to once again get a taste of grilled marinated meats with veggies and toppings.

“Your kind messages have been a constant source of motivation, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support you’ve shown us throughout this journey. We can’t wait to welcome you back,” the restaurant’s social media announcement said.

“As we bring our new team together, we kindly ask for your patience. We are committed to making every visit to be even more memorable than before, and we’ll keep working hard to earn the love and trust you’ve shown us.”

Designed to be a “fun, interactive dining experience where you can savor authentic Korean BBQ in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere,” Let’s Meat KKBQ offers uncooked pork, beef, chicken, seafood and more that you cook and enjoy during your dine-in limit.

Imagine the chance to put your chef skills to the test and feast on all the beef brisket, spicy chicken, butter squid, kimchi and spicy cold noodles your heart (and belly) desire — and that’s what you get at Let’s Meat.

Right now, the restaurant is operating with temporary hours on Tuesday-Thursday and Sunday from 5-11 p.m., and 5 p.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
