2 Charlotte spots among best for DoorDash barbecue in the South
Ahead of Father’s Day, DoorDash has released its list of the best barbecue restaurants for delivery, and two Charlotte-area restaurants came out among the top in the South.
The restaurants chosen for the national food delivery company’s best barbecue delivery spots in North Carolina included the CharlotteFive Readers’ Choice winner for best barbecue and a fan-favorite that stayed close in the running until the last round — each which have multiple locations.
“As a father of two who loves to barbecue, Father’s Day is the one time I want the experts to do the cooking,” Peter Esmond, senior director of merchant success at DoorDash, said in a news release.
“We curated this list of the nation’s best BBQ restaurants to make it easy to treat Dad. Whether that’s a full meal, or amazing sides and options to go with his grilling masterpiece, these local favorites will turn any casual meal into a feast, all delivered right to your door (or patio!).”
DoorDash’s list was determined by analyzing customer ratings and highlights from the restaurants that deliver the best barbecued meats. It used DoorDash data from May 2024 through April on all small and medium-sized restaurants and brands with fewer than 10 stores, along with the highest average overall customer ratings and at least 1,000 reviews.
