THIS STORY WAS UPDATED ON JUNE 7, 2025, WITH THE OPENING DATE.
A popular longtime Asian restaurant just south of downtown Mooresville is set to reopen with new LGBTQ+ women owners.
“Get your taste buds ready, Mooresville,” the new owners of Thai Thai Cafe’ said on social media recently. “Your next favorite Thai spot is almost here!”
The restaurant will open on Monday, June 9, the owners announced.
Hours will be 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 4:30-9 p.m. daily.
The owners haven’t revealed their names on social media and couldn’t immediately be reached by CharlotteFive.
“We’re more than just a place to eat— we’re a family sharing the rich traditions and flavors of our Thai heritage,” the owners said on Instagram.
They’ve mentioned dishes on social media in recent weeks to whet our appetites, including such spicy-hot specialties as Golden Crispy Spring Rolls — “hot, crunchy, and full of flavor” — and Pannang curry – “rich, creamy, and packed with that perfect Thai heat.”
Also:
▪ Massamun curry: “Rich, creamy and full of bold Thai flavor,” slow-cooked with tender meat, potatoes and “a warm blend of spices that’ll make your soul happy.”
▪ “Crispy, creamy Crab Rangoons.”
▪ “Zesty, refreshing Yum Nuer (Beef Salad).”
▪ Classic Pad Thai with shrimp: “Wok-tossed perfection.”
▪ And their signature red curry: “Simmering with rich coconut milk, fresh herbs and just the right kick — and it’s coming your way soon at Thai Thai Cafe’!”
“We’ve been pouring love, sweat and spicy dreams into every detail … and we’re almost ready to open the doors,” the owners said.
