A small space with a big ripple of memories and happiness,” Tom Hamilton, co-founder of Cara’s Cookies, said in a news release. “We are excited to join the camp fam at Camp North End; this expansion marks a great opportunity for our small business to continue to grow into its bigger purpose.”
Hamilton’s wife, Jennifer, started out baking cookies in 2019 as fundraisers for the couple’s nonprofit organization, Cara’s Purpose, which supports parents of infants diagnosed with terminal illnesses. The efforts eventually grew into what is now Cara’s Cookies.
“I started by looking up recipes online and then learning the science behind why they do certain things and just tweaking the recipes along the way to make it how we want it,” Jennifer Hamilton previously told CharlotteFive.
At Camp North End’s Mount District, Cara’s Cookies offers half-pound cookies in a baker’s dozen of 13 flavors. Customers can also bite into cookie push pops, edible cookie dough and cookie decorating kits.
Custom sugar cookies, cookie cake orders and catering requests are also available.
