Krispy Kreme is giving away glazed doughnuts. Here’s how to get a free one
Krispy Kreme is celebrating everyone’s favorite boy wizard with a doughnut giveaway.
On Saturday, Aug. 23, Harry Potter fans representing their favorite House of Hogwarts can get a free original glazed doughnut at participating locations nationwide, Krispy Kreme said.
No purchase is required.
The one-day giveaway coincides with the brand’s Harry Potter: Houses of Hogwarts x Krispy Kreme collection, which launched in stores this month, CharlotteFive reported. The collection features five limited-edition doughnuts, each inspired by the fictional Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
“We’re channeling the beloved magic of Harry Potter and the Houses of Hogwarts for a collection that is truly bewitching,” Alison Holder, chief brand and product officer for Krispy Kreme, said at the time.
Each treat is a nod to Hogwarts’ four houses:
- Gryffindor doughnut: Unglazed shell doughnut filled with a cookie butter filling. It’s then dipped in red icing and topped with Biscoff cookie crumbles, gold icing and the Gryffindor crest.
- Slytherin doughnut: Original glazed doughnut topped with chocolate and green buttercream, chocolate sugar cookies and the Slytherin crest.
- Hufflepuff doughnut: Unglazed shell doughnut filled with brown butter toffee custard. It’s then dipped in yellow icing and topped with a chocolate drizzle, cookie crunch and the Hufflepuff crest.
- Ravenclaw doughnut: Original glazed doughnut dipped in blueberry icing and topped with sprinkles and the Ravenclaw crest.
The collection also includes a Sorting Hat doughnut, each with a colorful filling to represent each of the houses, according to Krispy Kreme. The specialty treat is sold separately.
