Krispy Kreme thanks veterans with free doughnuts and coffee. Here’s what to know

Krispy Kreme is saying “thank you” to those who’ve served our country with a sweet freebie. Plus, customers can take advantage of an equally sweet offer later this week.

Veterans and active duty military members can score a free doughnut of their choice on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at participating Krispy Kreme shops nationwide, according to the Charlotte-based chain.

The offer coincides with Veterans Day and includes a free cup of coffee, hot or iced.

No purchase is necessary.

This month, Krispy Kreme refreshed its core doughnut menu with nine new treats, now available every day. The lineup includes trending flavors alongside returning favorites that were only available for a limited time, CharlotteFive previously reported.

They include:

  • New York Cheesecake
  • Oreo Cookies and Kreme
  • Original Glazed Cake
  • Cinnamon Apple Filled
  • Original Glazed Kreme Filled Doughnut

How much is a dozen donuts from Kripsy Kreme?

To celebrate World Kindness Day, anyone can get a free Krispy Kreme dozen with the purchase of a dozen at regular price, the coffee and doughnut chain said.

The one-day offer will be available Thursday, Nov. 13.

Krispy Kreme will treat customers to a free dozen of its original glazed doughnuts if either the men’s or women’s NCAA basketball championship is decided by 12 points.

The price of a dozen doughnuts can vary greatly by location, however. Customers are encouraged to check with their local Krispy Kreme shop.

At the location in South End Charlotte, an Original Glazed dozen cost $15.49 while a classic assorted dozen cost $17.49 as of Nov. 10.
