Philly’s iconic Ricci’s Hoagies leads wave of new openings in NoDa. What’s next.

Centro NoDa, a new mixed-use development, is on the cusp of opening a few more food and drink options to feed folks in Charlotte’s NoDa neighborhood.

Along with the restaurants, the building’s street-level retail offers a variety of fashion, wellness and lifestyle brands that are already open, including the James + Joy children’s boutique and Queen & Cotton clothing shop. The Saint & Society jewelry store is expected to open in March, adding to the options.

Morelia Paletas recently opened there, as well, bringing another location in Charlotte to customize its fruity Mexican paletas with dips and toppings.

But there’s more yet to come. Here’s an update on when the development’s food and drink options will be ready to serve you:

Ricci’s Hoagies

When it will open: February

Northeastern transplants may recognize Ricci’s Hoagies, as the chain hails from Philadelphia, where the sandwich style originated. The 100+-year-old sandwich shop is known for its standout Italian hoagies made with freshly baked rolls and hand-sliced meats and time-honored recipes.

Ricci’s was originally slated to open in late 2025, but now the hoagies are slated to start rolling out next month.

Pure Green

When it will open: February 2026

Pure Green’s first Charlotte location will offer organic cold-pressed juices, smoothies, acai bowls, oatmeal and wellness shots. The locally owned shop hones in on clean eating options for your breakfast, lunch or post-workout snacks.

Products to consider trying include its Immunity or Tumeric Tonic shots, Collagen Berry Bowl and Protein Power Steel-Cut Oatmeal. A summer 2025 opening had been expected, but Pure Green is now moving toward opening the doors in February.

Bayt Almocha

When it will open: March

Yemeni coffeehouse Bayt Almocha will open its first Charlotte location at Centro NoDa. The Michigan-based cafe will serve handcrafted specialty coffees, teas, smoothies and frappes.

Another thing to look forward to: Its indulgent desserts. Bayt Almocha sells a variety of pastries, including cheesecake, macarons and sabaya, a traditional Yemeni treat made with thin layers of dough brushed in butter.

Bayt Almocha had also been expected to open last summer, but delays pushed that plan back to March.
