Brunches opens near Oakhurst with mimosa towers and espresso martinis

Bubbles, coffee cocktails and three flavors of espresso martinis have arrived in the Oakhurst area, paired with classic breakfast options, A.M. burritos and bowls to get the day started.

North Carolina-based Brunches has finally made its way to Charlotte with a grand opening celebration planned for Tuesday and Wednesday. The first 100 people in the door will receive free food, and those who tag a friend on its Instagram post will be eligible to win an “even better” VIP experience.

“Come hungry, come early, and bring your people!,” the weekend Instagram post said.

Industry workers can get an even earlier look, with $3-$5 drink specials until 3 p.m. today.

The sandwich consists of thick-cut toasted bread layered with shredded lettuce, crispy bacon strips, a fried green tomato, and a fried egg with a bright yellow, runny yolk. On the left side of the plate, a small matching bowl is tilted forward, overflowing with sliced strawberries and fresh blueberries that spill onto the plate.
