Wine sips + snacky bites are coming to a Plaza Midwood hotspot.
A second Charlotte location of a wine bar and restaurant popular for date nights and girl dinners is opening in a walkable new development filled with food and drink options.
Postino’s new Plaza Midwood location in the Commonwealth development is slated to open in late summer with a 4,113-square-foot dining space inside and an enclosed 1,060-square-foot patio.
Details unique to the space will include custom millwork and a wine display, plus art and design elements inspired by early 1900s trolley cars and Plaza Midwood’s roots as one of Charlotte’s first streetcar suburbs.
The restaurant joins the busy development at a time when a slate of new food and drink options have just come on board.
Harriet’s Hamburgers opened a Commonwealth location in March, while upscale sushi spots Uchi and Uchibā followed. French bakery and cafe Maman opened just last week.
What to expect at Postino
Open daily for lunch and dinner, Postino Plaza Midwood will offer North Carolina craft brews alongside an extensive wine selection and cocktails.
The restaurant’s all-day menu includes boards with options including bruschetta, hummus and charcuterie. Soups, salads and panini sandwiches are also available.
“As one of Charlotte’s most energetic and culturally rich neighborhoods, Plaza Midwood felt like a natural fit for our next location,” Postino co-founder and CEO Lauren Bailey said in a news release.
“We’ve loved being part of the Charlotte community and are excited to continue growing here, creating another space where people can come together over great food, wine, and conversation.”
