New bar brings classic cocktails, lounge vibes to Optimist Hall in Charlotte
Cocktails will soon be pouring at Optimist Hall as a new bar prepares to open its doors this week.
Pollyanna, a new cocktail bar inside Charlotte’s biggest food hall, is preparing to welcome guests. The new addition brings another layer of nightlife and entertainment to Optimist Hall, known for its variety of foods and vendors, gathering spaces and social atmosphere.
Pollyanna plans to offer handcrafted classic cocktails, an elevated lounge environment and a modern nightlife experience.
Inspired by the charm of the 1920s pin-up muse, Pollyanna focuses on traditional cocktail techniques while introducing creative and playful additions to its menu. Organizing cocktails by spirit, the bar plans to feature familiar favorites such as the negroni, martini, paloma and paper plane alongside signature creations designed to give guests a fresh take on classic drinks.
The venue aims to create a full-service cocktail experience that complements the lively energy within the food hall. The space is designed to encourage guests to get comfortable, socialize and extend their time there after dining.
“Pollyanna adds an important new layer to the overall experience at Optimist Hall,” said Erik Johnson, an Optimist Hall partner. “It builds on the strengths of our existing tenants by giving guests a dedicated place to enjoy a well-crafted cocktail and extend their time within the hall.”
With anticipation building, Pollyanna hopes to quickly become one of Optimist Hall’s newest nightlife attractions.
“With Pollyanna, we set out to create a cocktail bar that feels intentionally rooted in the traditional bar experience, with a menu that balances familiar drinks with some fresh additions,” said David Schmidt of Hibernian Hospitality Group. “It’s a space designed for people to settle in and come back to regularly.”
Pollyanna is scheduled to officially open on Friday.
