Ilios Crafted Greek to open doors on new Lake Norman restaurant. What to expect

Ilios Crafted Greek is ready to swing open the doors on its newest restaurant.

The fast-casual concept, known for serving authentic Greek fare, will debut at the Sadler Square shopping center in Davidson on Monday, July 20.

Doors open at 11 a.m., and the first 100 customers can score a free bottle of Ilios’s proprietary extra virgin olive oil, according to a news release sent to CharlotteFive.

A roasted, seasoned half chicken with a caramelized, herb-dusted skin takes center stage on an oval plate with a blue border. It is accompanied by a mound of shredded cabbage slaw mixed with sliced olives, a side of chopped red beets, and triangles of pita bread. The plate rests on a warm wooden surface next to fresh green dill sprigs and wooden serving utensils.

The restaurant can seat up to 50 guests, plus an additional 24 on the outdoor patio. Dine-in and takeout service will be available, as well as catering options.

It marks the chain’s fifth Charlotte-area restaurant, joining existing spots in South End, Oakhurst, South Charlotte and Fort Mill.

“Davidson is a community that values quality, craftsmanship, and local businesses, which aligns perfectly with what we serve at Ilios Crafted Greek,” Stratos Lambos, co-owner of the restaurant and Xenia Hospitality Group, said in the release. “As we continue to grow, we’re also investing in the ingredients that define our food.”

The exterior facade of a contemporary Greek restaurant, “ilios crafted greek,” is shown under a bright, partly cloudy sky. The building features a dark metal awning over a wall of large glass windows and doors, through which blue patio tables and chairs are visible. Two designated accessible parking signs stand prominently in the foreground asphalt parking lot directly in front of the entrance.

Ilios recently transitioned to cooking exclusively with olive oil and imports its artisan pita bread directly from Greece. The menu is built around traditional Greek flavors and offerings. Think: pita sandwiches, lamb gyro, rotisserie chicken, salads and family-style meals

If your post-dinner cravings call for something sweet, baklava and honey-soaked loukoumades (Greek donuts) are on the menu, too.

“We’re committed to offering guests the most authentic and flavorful experience possible,” Lambos said.

Ilios Crafted Greek-Davidson will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

A tight, macro shot focuses on the vibrant ingredients inside a textured turquoise and white bowl. Glistening chunks of deep purple beets sit adjacent to bright red diced tomatoes and a fresh green lentil salad packed with minced herbs. The dish is finished with a generous topping of crumbled white feta cheese drizzled with olive oil.
