Wake Up Porter

Tasting Notes: This coffee vanilla porter is brewed using local coffee beans (the Sumatra Lingtong roast from Central Coffee Co.), local malt (the Dark Munich Malt from Carolina Malt House in Cleveland, NC) and Madagascar vanilla beans.

Bourbon Barrel-Aged St. Tuber

Tasting Notes: Reminiscent of Grandma’s sweet potato pie… plus a little bit of bourbon. This beer is brewed using local sweet potato puree from Snow Hill, NC.

Conquer the Route Bourbon Barrel-Aged Chocolate Stout
Style: Stout
ABV: 9%
Tasting Notes: This boozy stout is named for Alison Levine, a history-making polar explorer, and is made with Cholaca pure organic liquid cacao. It’s then aged in bourbon barrels for a rich flavor profile that will warm you up on a cool fall day.
Availability: The bottle release will be on Tuesday, September 25. The beer will be available on draft for a limited time after the release.

Tasting Notes: This boozy brew tastes like a beer-infused bite of pumpkin pie. It features pumpkin pie spices along with notes of vanilla, roasted pecans, clove and even (somehow) buttery pie crust.

Apple & Caraway Gose
Style: Gose
ABV: 4.6%
Tasting Notes: Caraway is also known as “meridian fennel” or “Persian cumin,” and its seeds are aromatic with a subtly licorice-like flavor. Divine Barrel will brew this creative gose using caraway seeds in the boil and apple puree in the secondary for a seasonal brew unlike any other we’ve seen to date.

Flash Gourdon

Tasting Notes: Twenty-Six Acres begins brewing this fall beer in their pilot system in late summer so it’s ready by the first week of September. The seasonal brew has a deep orange hue in the glass and features your favorite pumpkin pie flavors (cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and cloves) as well as a hint of ginger.

Wild Blossom Cider

Style: Lager
ABV: 5.5%
Tasting Notes: This Helles-style lager is brewed with German-grown barley malted by Epiphany Craft Malt in Durham, NC. It’s light, crisp, and reminiscent of the traditional Bavarian beers served at modern-day Oktoberfest celebrations in Germany.
Availability: On draft late September/early October through the fall season.
Sweater Weather
Style: English-Style ESB
ABV: 5.4%
Tasting Notes: Who doesn’t love a malty, English-style ESB to warm them up on a cool fall evening? This seasonal brew combines caramel and chocolate malt notes with hints of dark fruit for an ale as cozy as your favorite sweater.

Witch’s Tit Pumpkin Ale
Style: Pumpkin Ale
ABV: 6.5%
Tasting Notes: This has to be, hands down, my favorite name out of all of these fall beers. It’s brewed with freshly picked pumpkins from a local farm, as well as York Chester Brewing Company’s own unique pumpkin spice blend.
Availability: On draft September – November.
