Erin, 33, and Dwight, 37, were married on September 3, 2016 at the Marriott Center City Charlotte in the heart of Uptown. Their plum and silver color palette made the wedding romantic, elegant, and fun. Dwight is from Rochester, N.Y., while Erin hails from Charlotte.
The proposal, according to Erin:
Dwight surprised me with a romantic dinner on the beach in Aruba at a restaurant called Passion on the Beach. As the sun was setting, I was serenaded by a violin player. During the serenade, Dwight dropped to one knee in the sand with the ocean as a backdrop and asked me to be his wife.
Erin’s advice for brides:
I would recommend a wedding planner, and make sure you get a good night’s sleep the night before your wedding.
Dwight’s advice for grooms:
Prepare for the moment when you’ll see your bride for the first time. It’s something you’ll remember for the rest of your life.
How they met:
Introduced by Erin’s boss and Dwight’s employees.
The wedding:
The ceremony and reception were held at Marriott Center City Charlotte with a plum and silver color palette. Erin and Dwight danced to “Spend My Life with You” by Erin Benet. “Everything was perfect,” the bride says.
The newlyweds enjoyed a week-long vacation in Maui, Hawaii. They now live in Charlotte where they both work for Carolina HealthCare Systems, Erin as a nurse manager and Dwight as a business manager.
