Your first chance to experience the new, lantern-lit Nebel’s Alley Night Market comes tonight. This evening event, organized by Esther & Elsa Retail in partnership with Asana Partners and Charlotte Center City Partners, lasts from 5-9 p.m. and will be alive with local and regional food, drinks and goods for sale, according to a press release.

Why the name? The event takes place along Nebel Alley and Tompkins Alley in the Design District at 101 W. Worthington Ave. The catch: It will only happen two more times in 2018, on Friday, Nov. 2, and Friday, Dec. 7.

What to expect

– At least 30 pop-up shops along the alleys with items like handmade leather pieces, kombucha, vintage accessories, clothing, home décor and local kombucha.

– Live jazz.

– Black and white movies projected onto the brick walls.

– The chance to merge with the South End Gallery Crawl, which takes place at the same time.

And if you plan your night right, you just might end up at Superica for some fajitas and margaritas.
