10 of the best deals at breweries, from pizza and pints to growler fills
I’m a bargain hunter, but I also love craft beer. Oftentimes, those two things don’t go hand in hand. I’m not slamming local craft breweries with that statement. I understand that supporting local and quality comes with an extra cost. However, the budget-hawk, Financial Peace University teacher in me sometimes has to throw up his hands and say, “You spent how much on craft beer last month?!?! You do realize your love of fresh NE IPAs is working into your retirement savings, right?”
Thus, I bargain hunt for craft beer. Here are some of the best deals I’ve found at local breweries:
Divine Barrel Brewing
$10 crowler fill Mondays
Have a case of the Mondays? Drown them with a $10 crowler fill on most beers from Divine Barrel Brewing. Crowlers are normally priced in the $12-$14 range.
Bold Missy Brewery
50% off their Bruno Dogs and mini flatbreads for Run Club Tuesdays
So maybe this one isn’t a beer deal, but hey, food deals are good, too, right? On Tuesdays, Bold Missy offers 50% off Bruno Dogs (gourmet hot dogs) and mini flatbreads for run club participants. Although, I’m told if you show up looking a little sweaty, they won’t ask any questions…
Bonus deal – $10 crowler fills on Thursdays for seasonal and limited release beers (all other beers are already competitively priced at $10 every day of the week).
Resident Culture Brewing
$4 Neighborhood Love Pint Special on Wednesdays
Resident Culture is truly grateful for the community support of their surrounding neighborhood. To show their thanks, the brewer selects a beer to sell at $4 a pint each Wednesday.
The Unknown Brewing Co.
$15 Pizza and Pint Night Wednesdays
You didn’t know that Unknown Brewing had a permanent pizza food truck? Passport Dough & Co is now available whenever Unknown is open to pair their internationally inspired pizzas with Unknown’s creative brews. On Wednesdays, order a pizza and a pint for only $15. How about a U.K. Flatbread topped with sharp cheddar and Worcestershire paired with a Venture Stout?
Sycamore Brewing
$13 pitchers on Thursdays
Since Thursday is really Friday in the Queen City, start off the weekend right with $13 select pitchers at Sycamore Brewing and see where the night leads you.
Bonus deal – But wait, there’s more! Mug Club Monday members can purchase 24-oz. pours for pint prices (initial mug costs you $25). On Tuesdays, Sycamore offers half-price cider, wine, and prosecco.
Hyde Brewing
$3 local beers on Thursdays and Sundays
Hyde Brewing, located inside Suffolk Punch, is sort of a conundrum of things – brewery, beer bar, cocktail lounge, and restaurant. On Thursdays and Sundays, the adult libations playground offers $3 local beers (their own beers included).
Bonus deal – Half off bottles of wine on Tuesdays and $8 cocktails on Wednesdays (down from $16 for most cocktails).
Lenny Boy Brewing Co.
$10 growler fill Fridays
Lenny Boy’s weekly growler deal can’t be better timed to help you stock up on craft beer for the weekend. Pop in on Fridays and fill up your growler for only $10. Stock up on a few to help you make it through the weekend.
Bonus deal – Any day of the week, bring back your empty Lenny Boy crowler to recycle and receive a dollar off on your next crowler.
Thirsty Nomad Brewing
$6.50 flights of 4 on Sundays
Your Sunday Funday just got funday-er now that you know Thirsty Nomad offers flights of four for only $6.50 (down from $8 normally). It’s a great way to explore some of their new to you internationally inspired beers.
Triple C Brewing Co.
$4.50 Golden Boy Blonde and Light Rail Pale Ale all day, every day
What I love most about this deal, is it’s always a fallback. I don’t have to consult my brewery deal calendar, I don’t have to make a special trip. Instead, I know that whenever I pop into Triple C, there’s a cold, affordable craft beer waiting for me.
Bonus deal – If you desire something with a little more craft beer flavor, the rest of their beers are competitively priced at $5 for pints, $5 for 13-oz. pours of non-barrel-aged high gravity beers, and $6.50 for 13-oz. pours of barrel-aged beers.
Legion Brewing
$1 off the rotating Adventure Tap all day, every day
On any day of the week that ends in a Y, Legion Brewing offers a dollar off drafts from their mystery Adventure Tap. As if a dollar off beer wasn’t reason enough to pop into Legion, the brewery also donates a dollar for each Adventure Tap draft sold to charity. July’s charity is Hope for Kajiado.
