Help us create a new Duckworth’s Kitchen burger during the #C5Bites contest
As grilling season sizzles on, summer and burgers feel like the perfect combo. So we’ve partnered with Duckworth’s Kitchen & Taphouse to create our very own CharlotteFive burger! Fun fact: They just launched this new Create Your Own Burger test feature.
Help us dream up a new, creative stack of buns, toppings, sauces and patties — and you could win prizes from one of the most popular burger spots in the Queen City.
Here’s how the contest will work:
From today until Thursday, Aug 2 at 1 p.m.
– Submit your creative burger combination in the submissions box at the bottom of this post or on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #C5Bites. Bonus points for getting creative on why you chose the ingredients in your social media submission.
For example, we might suggest a plant-based Impossible Burger Patty with pepper jack cheese, avocado and guac (we like the green stuff), jalapeno AND jalapeno relish, lettuce, tomato and smoky chipotle mayo. All that spice = our dream come true.
Friday, Aug. 3
– We will share the top 5 submissions for you to vote on. You will be able vote on your favorite burger until noon Sunday, Aug. 5
Monday, Aug. 6
– We’ll announce the top two winners.
Wednesday, Aug. 8-Sunday, Aug. 12
– Anyone can come and try the burgers at Duckworth’s Kitchen on Park Road. The top two creations will be available to order as a pair of sliders, with a side item. Be sure to vote in-store on the iPad survey!
Monday, Aug. 13
– We’ll announce the overall winners!
– First place will receive a $100 gift card to Duckworth’s Kitchen, and bragging rights.
– Second place will receive a $25 gift card to Duckworth’s Kitchen.
