Uptown’s first self-serve bar featuring 50 taps is opening in late March.

Taproom Social, a self-serve beer spot at the corner of 4th and Graham streets, will open in late March — just in time for the Charlotte Knights’ season opener. Come thirsty: with 50 taps, you’ll be able to choose from 40 beers, seven wines or proseccos, a kombucha, a soda or cold-brew coffee.

The bar will be located in a 2,400 square feet space behind The Mint apartment building. “With our location being in Uptown, we want to be part of the fabric of the community and the tenants around us,” owner Sunkul Soni said.

There will also be 11 TVs inside and outside, along with an outdoor patio. Inside, expect a lounge-type atmosphere, a kid-friendly area with a chalkboard wall and an open-kitchen concept. Taproom Social will not be serving your typical fried bar food — instead, you can anticipate a limited menu featuring charcuterie boards, paninis, salads and more.

The taproom is expected to host events including a run club, game nights and more.

Taproom Social will be open daily starting at 4 p.m.
