Just Desserts

Wedding cakes are becoming more and more inventive as couples are becoming more adventurous with their selections. There is no right or wrong choice when it comes to wedding cakes as they represent the couple and their style. Carolina Bride challenged seven local bakers and artisans to create the cakes of their dreams and shot their creations with the help of Trevor Mercer with The Wedding Click and the stunning Duke Mansion, which acted as our backdrop. From architectural design to cut out hearts, to an ombré cake and a gothic cake with gold accents and lace, these artists proved that the sky is the limit when it comes to cake design.
