The Charlotte area’s newest beer garden is opening at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden next month
There’s a new beer garden coming just outside of Charlotte — and just in time for spring and summer sipping.
Starting April 7 (and during North Carolina Beer Month), guests at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden can order from a selection of local brews in the new Beer Garden onsite in Belmont, NC. The bar service will be beneath a shelter at the end of a 150-foot-long, vine-covered pergola. This opening is celebrated in conjunction with the Spring Plant Sale and Garden admission applies.
The Beer Garden, which can be found on the east side of the property adjacent to the Orchid Conservatory and overlooking the formal gardens, features patio space for tables, benches and bar tops. There is also ample grassy space for picnics and cornhole games.

Guest can be on the lookout for live music, food trucks and free tastings, as well as the integration of hops and other plants associated with small-batch brewing.
“Charlotte’s craft beer scene is booming and we believe by providing an authentic beer garden that we’re able to best contribute to the experience of savoring and appreciating a favorite local brew,” said Jim Hoffman, the Garden’s chief operating officer, in a press release. “We won’t be brewing beer here, but we hope to support the local industry and offer an experience you won’t necessarily find at your favorite brewery.”

Hours
The Beer Garden will be open seasonally noon to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from April 7 through July 8. It will be open 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursdays from May 31 through Aug. 30. It will re-open for weekends in the fall, Sept. 1 through Oct. 28.
