By the numbers: A look inside the Brewers at 4001 Yancey

Artisanal Brewing Ventures’ massive new brewery called Brewers at 4011 Yancey, a collaboration between Southern Tier Brewery and Victory Beer is expected to open around early June in LoSo. David Harries, the director of brewing operations, and Brad Michael, the marketing manager, walked us through what you can expect inside the space when it opens in the upcoming weeks.

Developer White Point Partners bought the Bowers Fibers facility at Yancey and Pineville roads for $7.9 million in 2017.

-The 28,000 sq ft brewery will have a main taproom with several semi-private lounge areas, a 25-barrel, four-vessel brewing system (which you’ll be able to view from the bar).

-Brewers is expected to have 10,000 barrels of annual production. Interactive brew tours will also be available.

-A 2,100 square-foot cooler will house kegs and canned products.

Outdoor seating will hold around 270 while the inside will hold 270-280 people.

-The private events space will have seating indoors for 80-85 and standing room for around 110, with a private patio included. Four large-screen TVs will be on one of the walls.

-The taproom bar will have 40 total taps (with Southern Tier and Victory Beer) along with around 1/3 of those taps brewed specifically for Charlotte. The brewery is looking to have potential partnerships with other local breweries down the line.

-You’ll find three outdoor patios, one within walking distance of the Scaleybark light rail stop. That covered patio in particular will have several seating options.

-The second outdoor patio, called The Ruins, features old-meets-new wood and other materials. Open garage doors separate and provide easy access to the main taproom.

-The third outdoor patio is private and can be rented out.

Two beer gardens (one public and one private) will accompany the side of the building.

One Uber loop/drop-off station will be located right near the beer garden.

-On the menu, the food will be chef-inspired and beer-focused. “Beer is the hero,” said Harries. Every space in the brewery will have full-service food and drink availability.

-Full retail, merchandise and to-go beer will be available for purchase.

-On-site events will include live music, outdoor games and more.

See you there in a month-ish.
