If you’re looking for something a little different, this uptown coffee house serves Kronuts – which are croissant-doughnut hybrids (made by Food Network Champ, Sugarrmann).
Festive Flavor of Choice: Their Nutella and Raspberry Jam version was pretty stellar (see below), but Sugarrmann also makes a Lemon Meringue that’s been stealing the show lately.

If you’re looking for a doughnut that will feed a crowd, check out Stoke’s one-pounder treat.
Festive Flavor of Choice: They only offer the one variety, but it’s oh so delish. Guests can expect light and airy brioche fried dough that’s filled with diplomat cream and Heath Bar crumble.

Did you know that The Salvation Army is credited with starting this sugary observance back in 1938? In celebration of the 80th indulgent holiday, all five Charlotte-area Salvation Army Family Stores will offer FREE doughnuts (while supplies last) today.
